Jessica Chavez poses with a friendly smile. |
Jessica Chavez is a third year student who is pursuing a degree in English and Philosophy, so she can continue on to law school. Her dream is to be accepted into a highly prestigious school to pursue her degree in law. She is considering possibly attending University of California Berkley, University of California Los Angeles, or Loyola Marymount.
Her academics and involvement have prepared her greatly for the goals she has set up for herself. On campus she is a leader of many organizations and is doing an exceptional job balancing both her grades and her extracurricular duties. On campus one of her greatest qualities is her warm nature and how she is always willing to lend a helping hand. She is the coordinator of VIP whom is in charge of assisting perspective students by showing them the campus and answering their anxious questions.
Jessica is very proud of all her accomplishments but is proudest of the fact that she is president of the Pre-Law fraternity and that she had the honor of being part of a summer program called “Philosophy in an Inclusive Key Summer Institute”. The summer program was an intensive selective process that required an essay, letters of recommendation, and high grades. Only a few students were elected throughout the U.S.
Jessica is a person that always gives her best to all the activities she is involved and she takes all the obstacles in life with great bravery. She finds that in life “The Greater the Obstacle - the more glory in overcoming it.” -Moliere
