Satisfactory Academic Progress

In order to continue to receive financial aid, the student must demonstrate satisfactory academic progress. Satisfactory academic progress is defined according to the following tables. Units are only considered if they count towards your degree. You cannot count units for a class taken more than once.

Undergraduate 2.0 Cumulative GPA
Graduate 3.0 Cumulative GPA

Undergraduates must complete

Full-Time enrollment status 24 Units per year
3/4 time enrollment status 18 units per year
1/2 time enrollment status 12 units per year

Graduates must complete:

Full-Time enrollment status 12 units per year
3/4 time enrollment status 9 units per year
1/2 time enrollment status 6 units per year

Important Note: Students unable to meet the standards describe may be placed on probation, or suspended from receiving further financial aid assistance. In the event of financial aid suspension, the student will be held responsible to pay any outstanding balance without financial aid. Students may submit a letter of appeal if they have a special circumstance that may affect their academic progress.
