Student Ambassador Program Application

Thank you for your interest in the Student Ambassador Program. Introduced in 1991, the Student Ambassador Program is one of MSMC's community/high school partnership programs designed to motivate inner-city high school students to complete high school and to aspire to a college education. The program also reaches hundreds of elementary and middle school students annually with custom designed programming to fit their needs and to encourage and to inspire them to set higher education as a goal. Many of our MSMC students come from backgrounds similar to those of the individuals and/or communities they assist. When possible Ambassadors work with the high school from which they graduate. Thus, the Ambassador's very presence says...If I can do it, so can you!

To apply to the program, we ask that you ...

  • are a Freshmen, Sophomore, or Junior.
  • are able to provide your own transportation.
  • maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.7 or better.
  • work a consistent 12-15 hours a week.
  • attend all training sessions & activities.
  • complete 10 hours of shadowing/training at your site with current Ambassador (more inform will be given).
  • complete an interview and mock presentation with the management team.

You also have the option to be placed at a High School, Elementary/Middle School, or Community Partner site should any that are not listed below become available.

  • You are required to submit TWO (2) Recommendation Forms from Professional Staff, Faculty, or other Professional of your choice. Please print out 2 of the forms at the link below and give it to them.     I understand that a Program Administrator must confirm my G.P.A. I give this Administrator my permission to verify my G.P.A. for every semester that I remain in the Program. I understand that if my G.P.A. falls below the required, I may be put on probation or replaced.
