The outcomes for the Business Administration Department were developed beginning with a meeting of the Associate degree program’s core faculty and our department chair, taking into consideration the requirements of each content field. Additional discussion through e-mail helped to refine the assessment plan. The outcomes reflect the College’s mission by building leadership skills in Outcome 1 and preparing students to apply their knowledge and skills to positively impact the real-world in Outcomes 2-5. The department is particularly excited about Outcomes 1, 3, and 4 because they address our desire to help students apply theory to real-world situations and demonstrate professional behaviors. The department is concerned about fulfilling the description of the Associate degree program, and Outcome 5 specifically is based on our program description to address this concern.
