Experienced instructors empower students and deliver innovative curriculum. Many of the classes include a field work component that provides hands-on experience and networking. Also, this is one of the few Associate programs that include a semester of internship as part of the major requirements.

The Health & Human Services Program emphasizes mentoring, which means that students are closely involved with their advisor about their goals, career choices, academic performance and preparing to earn a Bachelor’s of Science. Over 90% of our Health & Human Services Majors do complete a bachelor’s degree at the Mount St. Mary's College Chalon Campus in Social Work, Sociology, Criminology, Gerontology, Medical Sociology (a specialization within Sociology), and Film & Social Justice Programs. Many of our Doheny alums then pursue master’s degrees in Social Work at universities such as USC, Columbia University, UCLA, UC Berkeley, CSULA, and CSUN.
