Statement
My work takes form in works on paper and installation. Rooted in the traditional practices of printmaking and book arts, my methods of production explicitly push the limits of simple materials. The processes I employ in making pieces relate directly to the work's content. Through cutting, piercing, staining, dissecting and configuring elements, I examine boundaries. I am particularly interested in the fluctuations and fluidity of social structures, from the concept of personal space to geo-political territory. Ruminations on fragility, strength and resilience in relation to biology, psychology, politics and culture motivate my practice.
