Faculty
Because careers in Criminology cross many occupational areas, we have designed a program that addresses this multi-faceted field. Our criminology faculty therefore comes from a range of backgrounds. Courses are taught from a systems perspective that explores criminal behavior as the result of the interactions of family, culture, socioeconomic status, social structure, opportunities, socialization, community, and environment. Thus, our faculty possess expertise in social work, the court system, social justice, cultural and social diversity, sociology, psychology, and law enforcement, contributing to an in-depth and holistic understanding of crime, the individual and society.
