Global Politics

Want to explore the world while still making it to class?

Thinking about a career in international development, international humanitarian work or foreign service?

Or just interested in learning more about the world?

The Global Politics major has been developed within the Mount’s social justice framework, with a solid basis in both global context and academic theory. This major emphasizes global service learning, and challenges students to take their academic work and apply it to the world around you. Our graduates are prepared for international jobs in areas such as development, humanitarian work, and foreign service. The unique design of this course requires an global learning experience that can be study abroad, internship abroad, volunteer abroad, or local internship focused on global issues.   Our students work in communities to help provide access to clean water, help build after school programs for local children or provide access to public health services all while working towards an undergraduate degree. As graduates our student’s are ready for work on the ground!
