“The liberal studies major allowed me to grow personally. I did a lot of searching and evaluation of myself. I was fortunate enough to do this through travel while taking a course in South America. Through travel I was able to see and experience a different lifestyle and culture. This was a unique opportunity where I was able to see in real life different places such as Machu Pichu and the Incan remains that I had only read about. This and other courses in the liberal studies major made me open my eyes to different perspectives, beliefs and opinions of other people.”
"During my student teaching I was able to work at one low income charter school where they provided health education for students and parents. I was placed in a kindergarten classroom and loved working with the children and providing exciting learning environments."
