Welcome to the webpages of the Mount St. Mary's College Traditional Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Program. As the first BSN program in California, we are proud of our rich history and of the numerous Mount nursing graduates who have made significant contributions in the nursing profession and in the lives of individuals, families, and communities.
Students are considered for admission to our three year program after completing prerequisites as either pre-nursing students at the Mount or as transfer students.Theory and clinical courses prepare students to deliver professional nursing care based on the Roy Adaptation Model, the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) Baccalaureate Essentials, and the Quality and Safety Education for Nurses (QSEN) competencies. Upon graduation, students are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) and for a California Public Health Nursing Certificate. Our partnerships with clinical agencies throughout the Los Angeles metropolitan area enable students to experience a wide range of health care delivery models and nursing roles that assist them in selecting a career path that best meets their professional objectives.
The Traditional BSN program is committed to our college mission of developing leaders, serving our community, providing remarkable service, and finding beauty in the college experience. Our faculty, staff, and administration are invested in the success of our students and the reputation of excellence that Mount nursing graduates connote.
Thank you for your interest in our nursing program. We look forward to receiving your inquiries and having you visit our campus.
