About Our Faculty
Philosophy faculty here at MSMC love teaching. Our goal is to create classes that foster the joy of learning and bring ideas to life. Central to this is helping students develop critical thinking skills so they can apply what they learn to the world around them. Philosophical training helps develop clarity of thought and the ability to write clearly and defensibly. It also helps individuals reflect on their lives and the importance of ethics in shaping how we live with one another. As members of the MSMC Philosophy Department, we work together as a team to create Philosophy classes that are of high quality and relevant to students' academic and personal growth.
All our faculty incorporate diverse perspectives into their classes and are sensitive to different approaches to learning. Many of our faculty have received awards, fellowships, and honors for their teaching and for professional development.
As a result, our Philosophy classes provide a solid foundation for academic success--whatever the student's major. Our talented, caring faculty make all the difference.
