
Students who major in Political Science analyze political processes, behavior, systems and institutions. Through the mastery of disciplinary methods, students are trained to explain and predict political phenomena and integrate theoretical traditions within the subfields of the discipline. The Department offers course work in American Politics, International Relations, Comparative Politics, Political Theory and Public Policy.
Courses regularly offered include: Research Methodology; American Presidency; Legislative Process; Judicial Politics; American Party Politics; Public Policy; State and Local Politics; International Relations; Latin American Politics; Women and Development; African Politics; and U.S./Mexican Relations.
